Meggan Burchfield

Meggan Burchfield

Of Counsel

Meticulous. Excellent communicator. Intuitive and empathetic. Meggan began her professional career with Southwest Airlines, where she honed her people skills working in both Customer Relations and the People Department. While interning at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Lubbock, she also mastered the art of multi-tasking; one of her first assignments involved assisting the federal prosecutor on a narcotics case with 37 defendants.

After diving headfirst into the legal world, Meggan went on to work at local firms for seven years. She then spent eight years offering litigation support to solo practitioners and small firms across Dallas in a variety of practice areas, including insurance, personal injury, labor and employment, and commercial litigation. While her diverse background has allowed her to seamlessly adapt to new practice areas, litigation has been the common thread throughout her career.

Meggan’s extensive litigation experience paired with her whip-smart intuition and people skills makes her a zealous advocate for her clients. What truly sets her apart, though, is her ability to navigate not only the legal intricacies but also the subtle emotional undercurrents that can affect a case. She remains dispassionate and objective in her legal maneuverings, while still showing empathy and compassion for the people involved.

Beyond the courtroom, Meggan’s empathetic side shines brightly. She enthusiastically immerses herself in various ministries at St. Patrick Catholic Church including the Mothers’ Club and Refugee Outreach and is also active in the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. Meggan calls Dallas home and holds down the fort with her husband and two sons.
